Welcome to the Storyteller's Worlds!
Stories hold great power over civilisation. They can change individual and society alike. Stories can communicate, persuade, and mould - all the while dressed as simple entertainment. Stories can take you to places inside you that are as far removed from your everyday life as the most unbelievable of fairylands.
If you like those places, you will like it here too! It is a close approximation.
The scope of this site includes the craft of writing, and the telling of stories in every medium - books, movies, TV, comics, animation, advertising, blogging, and even non-fiction. Storytelling works across genres, places and social backgrounds.
Because both writing and storytelling are my pet obsessions, this site contains a lot of my own writing. I write short personal essays on many topics. There is also some fiction by me. Mostly short fables and stories set against the rich backdrop of Indian mythology and folklore.
Check out the series of fables I wrote based on the ancient epic Ramayan. These are flash fiction stories based on actual or imagined events occurring in what may roughly be called the Ramayan universe.
In the slightly over two years of its existence, mypajama.com has spawned close to a 100 stories and essays. And the post-count keeps going up with time. You can start exploring some of the best posts here by following one of the links on the sidebar or you can click here to be magically transported to a post randomly chosen by the gods of chaos.
Now for the part I dislike most. Who am I? You see... I am not really sure. See if this page helps.
If you like this site, tell your friends about it. As it is, mypajama.com owes its notoreity mostly to word of mouth publicity. And don't forget, Feedback on anything and everything is more than welcome.
