Been thinking about bad people. No one particular really. Just bad people in general. Are they for real? Remember the looks of disbelief on people’s faces when they encounter ‘bad’ people? Most of us have difficulty believing that someone can be “so mean” or selfish. I am not talking about the meekest of us either. Even those who swear the world went to the dogs years ago don’t escape this effect.

As I continue to battle non-believers who never tire of saying, “Comics are for kids.” Not that that ever fazes me. Even as I type this, next to me on the desk is a Batman Super Special, and on top of my monitor, a Superman figurine. I spent the last weekend reading JLA issues and the history of Superman’s most deadly foe: Doomsday.

I also remember those who fell out of the comic-book universe. I am not sure they stopped believing. Scared of keeping up with a belief system generally considered pointless? Perhaps.
