Next on Golu TV

mypajama.com is all about storytelling. Stories and essays are published at an alarmingly infrequent rate. Subscribe with RSS or via email.

I have often wished I were the author of a comic strip. Sadly, I can’t draw for peanuts. Actually, I can draw for peanuts (one would have to be terribly incompetent to be unable to draw for peanuts). However, peanuts are pretty much all I can draw for.

Charles Schulz, the man who drew the world famous comic strip Peanuts wasn’t that great with the pencil himself. But he somehow managed to be worthy of much more than peanuts.

I, on the other hand, can only lay claim to the Golu Tales. And I haven’t been worthy of peanuts myself.

I admit the last few Golu stories have sucked. They sucked so much that I have woken up in the middle of the night sweating profusely and shivering in guilt. The fault is mine and mine alone. I let lethargy get to me.

To compensate, I promise to rev up Golu’s universe a bit in the coming stories. There will be more points of view and a more extensive field of operations. There will be a touch of the supernatural and the unfolding of a coming adventure that will end with Golu coming to terms with his destiny as earth’s sole hope against forces of sanity.

Well…. Maybe not all that but it will be fun I promise (for what my promises are worth).

  1. Who said that the last few blew? Anyway, to add to a comment from last time, lifting from somewhere or the other - Growing old is inevitable, Growing up is optional :)

And Scott Adams writes Dilbert, Peanuts be Charles Schulz (I wonder if I spelt that right?)

  2. Off related comment:
I ripped something off your flickR! And its on my blog.
Sathe: That ‘growing up’ bit, its on that poster in your room!!

  3. Miss Vangi: That flickr thing was the handiwork of one Preetika Mathew. :) She made me use it as my wallpaper for one whole day.

  4. Yeah, it’s on the wall, but I think I lifted it from somewhere else first… Only about half the stuff on that wall is original…

  5. THIS IS NOT A CHATROOM >:/
