What Incredibles II might be

Calling everyone who watched The Incredibles more than once. Personally, I saw it twice in a theatre and plenty more times on DVD. There is just so much between the lines stuff in it that re-watching becomes essential. So much that could go into the sequel to the mock-superheroic.

No, I am not ignorant to the infamous likeness to the Fantastic Four. That’s just something we all will have to live with (Pixar sure did. Nobody sued them. Miracles still happen!).

In the next installment, they could make a big deal out of young speedster Dash’s breaking the sound barrier. Bang! That would be worth it. Also, imagine all the possibilities that come with a slightly grown-up Jack Jack.

The original oldies on the other hand, could have flashbacks about the glorious good old days when they battled evil with their comrades. Remember all the supers Syndrome killed in order to upgrade his killer robot? Gazerbeam and all.

I may be going overboard with all this. For all you know, the next movie may be timed shortly after the first one. But blogstipation calls for wishful thinking.

  1. I personally loved the part where the dad, on hearing that he has to go for some pointless event at his son’s school, says something to the effect of how we find plenty and more ways to celebrate mediocrity.. brilliant line that!
